It's nearing time for South Alabama coach Joey Jones to make a decision on a starting quarterback, but Dallas Davis and Cole Garvin aren't making it easy on him.
Both redshirt juniors performed well in the Jaguars' third and final full scrimmage of the fall on Saturday morning at Ladd-Peebles Stadium, Jones said. The scrimmage was closed to the media.
Jones indicated the decision on the starter will be made in the coming days. South Alabama begins installing the game plan for the Sept. 2 season-opener at Ole Miss on Wednesday.
"We'll look at the film, but we can win with both of those guys," Jones said.
