Four weeks into the 2018 season, the South Alabama offense looked as if it was making progress.

The Jaguars were coming off one of their best showing in recent memory against a quality opponent, scoring 35 points and totaling 467 yards of offense in a 52-35 loss to Memphis. But whatever expectations that game reconfigured have fallen back after two straight disappointing performances.

South Alabama scored a touchdown on its first possession against Appalachian State and then not again in 48-7 loss, then managed just a touchdown and two field goals in a 48-13 loss to Georgia Southern.
