NORTHBROOK, Ill. – For the second-straight season, South Alabama senior safety Keith Gallmon has been nominated for the 2022 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team® as announced by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA) Wednesday.
Sports information directors — from divisions across the nation — nominated 114 student-athletes with stories of exemplary community service, alongside their academic dedication and impact on and off the field.
Gallmon earned preseason first-team all-Sun Belt Conference selection by Athlon Sports and third-team all-league honors from Phil Steele Publications in June. He was voted second-team all-league last fall and also earned second-team honors from Phil Steele Publications and Pro Football Network after posting 59 stops — including 2½ behind the line of scrimmage — two pass break ups, an interception and a fumble recovery.
