SOUTH ALABAMA FOOTBALL FALLS IN FINAL ROAD GAME OF 2019

ATLANTA – Dan Ellington threw for two scores and Tra Barnett added one on the ground Saturday to lead Georgia State to a 28-15 Sun Belt Conference football victory over the University of South Alabama at Georgia State Stadium.

Ellington was 21-of-27 passing for 208 yards while Barnett carried 23 times for a game-high 128 yards as the Panthers improved to 7-4 overall and 4-3 in the conference. Jhi'Shawn Taylor paced GSU with 7 stops and Trajan Stephens-McQueen added six — including 1½ for loss — in limiting the Jaguars (1-10, 0-7 Sun Belt) to 154 yards through three quarters.
