South Alabama posted 16 hits on the way to an 8-3 victory at Louisiana-Monroe Sunday, finishing off a Sun Belt Conference series sweep.
Brendan Donovan homered in the first inning to spark the victory for the Jaguars, who are now 19-13 overall, 9-3 in Sun Belt play. Donovan went 3-for-6 on the day, scoring twice and driving in a run.
USA's Travis Swaggerty went 4-for-5 with a run scored and an RBI, while Drew LaBounty, Carter Perkins and Will Luft all had two hits. Hunter Stokes added an RBI double for the Jaguars, who have won three of four Sun Belt series this season.
