South Alabama finished of a three-game sweep of Eastern Illinois with an 8-3 victory Saturday at Stanky Field.
The Jaguars (3-0) scored seven unanswered runs after the Panthers (0-3) took a 3-1 lead in the fourth. South Alabama four three runs in the sixth to take the lead for good.
"I thought we played really well in both games yesterday," South Alabama coach Mark Calvi said. "Today, we got outplayed the first half of the ballgame; I thought we got outpitched and outhit. But our guys did a nice job responding, and that's what you want to see.
