South Alabama facing a future NFL quarterback this week, but what else is new?

For the third time in four games, South Alabama this week is facing an opposing quarterback likely to hear his name called in a future NFL draft.

Idaho's Matt Linehan visits Ladd-Peebles Stadium at 1 p.m. Saturday, and the Jaguars will look to keep from happening what occurred when they faced Ole Miss' Shea Patterson and Mason Rudolph in the season's first two weeks. Patterson and Rudolph combined for 759 yards and seven touchdowns passing as the Rebels and Cowboys dealt USA a pair of blowout losses to open the season.

"To be honest with you, he's the same guy as last year, just a year more experienced in an offensive system that he feels very comfortable in," South Alabama defensive coordinator Kane Wommack said of Linehan.
