SOUTH ALABAMA EARNS VIC BUBAS CUP FOR SECOND STRAIGHT YEAR

2015-16 Vic Bubas Cup standings

POINT CLEAR, Ala. – The University of South Alabama earned the Sun Belt Conference's Vic Bubas Cup for its performance during the 2015-16 academic year, winning the league's all-sports prize in consecutive years for the first time since the 1998-99 and '99-00 campaigns. The trophy was presented to school administrators as the conference's spring meetings began Sunday at the Grand Hotel.

The Jaguars lay claim to four Sun Belt titles — women's cross country, soccer and women's outdoor track and field were outright champions, with the baseball program earning a share of the championship on Saturday — and were bolstered in the final standings by having 15 of 17 teams finish among the top half of the conference rankings.
