Josh Ajayi scored 10 of his 18 points in the final 11:39 as South Alabama rallied for a 60-57 victory over visiting Coastal Carolina on Thursday night in the Mitchell Center.
With the win, the Jaguars improve to 10-9 overall, 3-3 in the Sun Belt Conference. The Chanticleers drop to 7-13, 1-6.
"Very pleased with coming out with the win, definitely a lot of areas to improve upon," South Alabama coach Matthew Graves said. "But I can't stress enough, and our guys really responded defensively in the second half. Our guys really locked down and made it difficult for them to get off shots.
