South Alabama on Saturday picked up a 2019-20 basketball verbal commitment from Connecticut prep school forward KK Curry, AL.com has confirmed.
The 6-foot-6 Curry, from St. Thomas More School in Oakdale, Conn., is rated a 3-star prospect according to 247 Sports. He joins point guard Tyreke Locure as South Alabama commitments for the class of 2019-20.
Curry also had offers from Houston, Middle Tennessee State and UAB, among other schools. He is originally from Cleveland, Tennessee.
First-year coach Richie Riley and South Alabama have signed four transfers for its 2018-19 class, all of whom have enrolled in school.
