South Alabama baseball falls to Southeastern Louisiana in final non-conference game

South Alabama dropped its final non-conference game of the 2018 baseball season on the road Tuesday night, falling 12-9 at Southeastern Louisiana.

The Jaguars (29-21) led 3-1 and 5-3 early in the game, but the Lions (35-19) answered each time. SLU hit four home runs in the game, with Taylor Schwaner, Drew Avans, Nathan Pilutti and Daniel Wasinger all going deep.

South Alabama got home runs from Hunter Stokes and Brendan Donovan, while Dylan Hardy and Will Luft had three hits each. Donovan drove in three runs, Stokes two.

SLU reliever Will Wade (1-1) got the victory, with Bryce Tassin working the final two innings for his sixth save.
