South Alabama baseball falls 7-4, drops series at Little Rock

Little Rock scored two runs each in the seventh and eighth innings for a 7-4 victory over South Alabama in the finale of a three-game Sun Belt Conference series on Sunday.

The Jaguars (26-19, 14-9 Sun Belt) have now lost six of their last eight games overall and back-to-back conference series for the first time all year. South Alabama remains tied for second in the Sun Belt East with Georgia Southern, three games behind first-place Coastal Carolina with six to play.

Little Rock (25-20, 14-9) led 3-0 after five innings before South Alabama tied the game heading on a two-run homer by Travis Swaggerty in the sixth and a solo shot by Carter Perkins in the seventh.
