South Alabama baseball drops midweek game to New Orleans, 8-2

Visiting New Orleans scored six times in the second inning on the way to an 8-2 victory over South Alabama on Tuesday at Stanky Field.

The Privateers (10-15) rocked Jaguars starter JoJo Booker for six runs (three earned) in 1 2/3 innings and totaled 10 hits in all. Collin Morrill's two-run single and Beau Bratton's RBI double were the big hits off Booker (1-1), who allowed three hits and a walk, hit a batter and threw two wild pitches and was also victimized by a Hunter Stokes throwing error with two outs in the second.

South Alabama (13-11) scored its only runs in the third on Dylan Hardy's two-run single, which cut the score to 6-2.
