South Alabama adds 4 commitments to 2018 football signing class

South Alabama added four verbal commitments for its 2018 football signing class over the weekend, when a number of prospects made official visits to campus.

Pledging to the Jaguars were three junior college players and one high-schooler: John Curtis Christian (La.) wide receiver Tyrone Legette Jr., Arizona Western College linebacker Roy Yancey and Jones County (Miss.) Junior College teammates Jordan Beaton (a defensive tackle) and Kendall Parham (a wide receiver). All four are expected to sign with USA when the early signing period begins on Wednesday.

Legette (5-foot-10, 153 pounds) caught 27 passes for 524 yards and five touchdowns as a senior at John Curtis, which went 11-2 and reached the Louisiana Division 1 state championship game in 2017.
