South Alabama athletics director Joel Erdmann said Friday that he agrees with his former football coach, that the Jaguars need an on-campus football stadium.
In an interview with AL.com's Mark Heim on "Sports Drive" on WNSP-FM 105.5 to discuss the hiring of new USA football coach Steve Campbell, Erdmann echoed comments made by former coach Joey Jones just last week. Jones said that he found the Jaguars' lack of an on-campus facility a hindrance in recruiting.
"I agree. I think we need a stadium -- absolutely," Erdmann said. "The name of the story is still the same.
