MOBILE, Ala. – A second-half penalty kick was the difference in the University of South Alabama soccer team's 1-0 victory over Southern Mississippi in a spring contest Saturday at The Cage.
The Jaguars extend their spring win streak to three and remain unbeaten in four spring outings.
"I'm very happy with the girls' efforts this spring," head coach Richard Moodie said. "They are responding well to the adjustments and I thought they looked great again on the weekend."
After a scoreless first half, junior Danielle Henley (Hattiesburg, Miss.) converted from the spot with 25 minutes to go, to account for the only goal of the contest.
