It was Josh Ajayi early and Rodrick Sikes late for South Alabama on Saturday vs. Appalachian State.

The duo combined for 50 points -- 26 by Sikes -- in an 83-77 victory at the Mitchell Center. USA (11-9, 4-3 Sun Belt Conference) trailed by as many as nine points in the first half and by eight early in the second before rallying to record the 800th win in the program's 50-year history.

"I felt like in the first half, we were scoring the ball well but we couldn't get (Appalachian State) off the 3-point line and we were fouling too much," South Alabama coach Matthew Graves said.
