MOBILE, Ala. – Senior Morgan Cross scored a brace in the second half of the home conference opener to help lead the University of South Alabama women's soccer team to its first conference win of the season, 3-0, against Texas State at The Cage on Friday.
Gracie Wilson opened up scoring in the first half with a goal that was assisted by Deanna Green to give South Alabama (5-3-1, 1-1-1 SBC) an early lead. Cross was assisted by Sydney Ham two consecutive times in the second half to give the Jags their first conference victory of the season.
