A day after cutting ties with Matthew Graves, South Alabama athletics director Joel Erdmann hasn't set a timetable to have a new basketball coach in place.
Erdmann announced Thursday that he had not to renew Graves' contract after five straight losing seasons, including 14-18 this season. He said he was going to take his time to find the right coach, particularly since many potential candidates still have games to play at their current schools.
"Not to be overly cliche, but (we'll move) as fast as we can, for various reasons," Erdmann said. "But also slow enough to make sure we are evaluating and doing our homework to make sure we have the best person.
