NEW ORLEANS – After averaging over 26 points per game and leading the University of South Alabama men's basketball team to a 2-0 start in the league, junior Rodrick Sikes was voted the Sun Belt Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week Tuesday.
Also recognizing Sikes for his efforts is College Sports Madness, who tabbed him their player of the week.
Sikes is the first Jaguar to earn weekly honors from the league since Ken Williams in February 2015.
The Ocean Springs, Miss. native averaged 26.2 points over a four-game span as the Jags went 3-1 overall and 2-0 in the conference.
