NEW ORLEANS – University of South Alabama volleyball senior libero/defensive specialist Ashlyn Roberts was named the Sun Belt Conference Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the league office Monday.
Roberts recorded 53 digs in three matches, which totaled 10 sets, for an average of 5.30 digs per set last week. She finished with 17 digs in a three-set win at Southern Miss last Tuesday, and followed that performance with 24 digs in a four-set win over Louisiana last Friday. Roberts capped the week with 12 digs in a three-set victory over ULM on Saturday.
