HOOVER, Ala. – South Alabama women's golfer Greta Rietdorf earned medalist honors at the Hoover Invite Tuesday at the Hoover Country Club.
Rietdorf (72-71-70) turned in an even par 72 in round one, followed by a 1-under par 71 in the second round Monday. She carded a 2-under par 70 in Tuesday's final round to capture medalist honors for the first time in her career.
South Alabama (300-286-295) finished tied with Southern Miss, who won the tournament, at 17-over par 881 but the Golden Eagles won the tiebreaker based off of the fifth-player score.
