NEW ORLEANS, La. | South Alabama pole vaulter Kyle Rademeyer was named the Sun Belt Conference Field Athlete of the Week after his performance in Starkville (Miss.) last weekend.
He had another historic weekend in the pole vault at the 2023 Maroon and White Invite where he finished with a new South Alabama record of 5.82 meters (19-01.00) and was the only competitor at the event to clear 5.36 meters. The height is the standard for Olympic qualifying and should qualify Rademeyer for the World Championships later this year.
