Quarter-by-quarter look at South Alabama's win over ULM

By Mike Herndon, special to AL.com

It was a career night for much of the South Alabama offense, as the Jaguars racked up 549 yards en route to a 33-23 homecoming victory over Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.

Xavier Johnson became South Alabama's all-time leading rusher in the first quarter, and Dallas Davis and Sam Harris each had career days as the Jaguars improved to 3-4 and 2-1 in Sun Belt Conference play.

Davis, who regained his starting job this week after Cole Garvin had started the season, completed 20 of 33 passes for 317 yards and a career-high three touchdowns.
