PROGRAM-RECORD 17 SOFTBALL PLAYERS NAMED TO EASTON/NFCA ALL-AMERICA SCHOLAR ATHLETE LIST

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of South Alabama softball program had a program-record 17 student-athletes from last season's roster named All-America Scholar Athletes by the Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), during the 2020-21 academic year as announced by the organization on Tuesday.

The previous mark for the program was 12 honorees back during 2017-18. The individual award is given to student-athletes that acquire a 3.5 grade-point average or higher during said academic year.

The 17 selections tied with UTA for the second-most among Sun Belt Conference programs, just one behind league leader Coastal Carolina. Among the 1,982 Division I honorees representing South Alabama on the list are Abby Allen, Mackenzie Brasher, Jordyn Calderon, Janeah Finney, Jenna Hardy, Kaitlyn Hughes, Meredith Keel, Emma Kropp, Abby Krzywiecki, Kamdyn Kvistad, Olivia Lackie, Camryn McLemore, Caroline Nichols, Hannah Ogea, Kelsie Rivers, Shelby Sloan, Bailey Welch, Belle Wolfenden.
