Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Watch List
WICHITA, Kan. – University of South Alabama baseball catcher Reid Powers was recently named to the 2021 Buster Posey National Collegiate Catcher of the Year Watch List, as announced by The Greater Wichita Area Sports Commission.
Powers iwa one of 69 student-athletes named to the award watch list. The award is given annually to the nation's top Division I catcher. Powers is one of three Sun Belt Conference student-athletes on the list, which also includes Troy's Caleb Bartolero and Louisiana's Drake Osborn.
Semifinalists for the award will be announced on May 20, finalists announced on June 7 with the winner to be named on a date that has not yet been determined.
