Perrier Claims Silver, Multiple PR's Highlight Day Two of Sun Belt Championships

HARRISONBURG, Va. – The South Alabama Track & Field program wrapped up Day Two of competition at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships with both the men's and women's teams sitting in the top three heading into the final day.

South Alabama women's team currently holds second place with 52 points, trailing Texas State (60) and narrowly leading Arkansas State (50). On the men's side, the Jaguars are tied for second with Appalachian State at 55 points, just behind Arkansas State, which leads with 57.

The Jaguars' lone All-Conference performer of the day came in the men's 3,000-meter steeplechase, where Sacha Perrier delivered a silver-medal performance and set a new personal best at a 8:59.
