South Alabama football coach Joey Jones said Monday offensive guard Nelson Santiago is the only Jaguars regular expected to miss Saturday's season-opener at Ole Miss due to injury.
Santiago, a sophomore, began fall camp working with the first team at right guard, but suffered an ankle injury three weeks ago and underwent a surgical procedure. Senior Harrison Louden has been working as the No. 1 right guard in Santiago's absence.
"Right now, we're all in good shape other than (Santiago)," Jones said. "And he's coming back, hopefully in the next week or so."

Several other players who were injured during camp were practicing at full speed Sunday night, including tight end Maaseiah Francis (ankle), offensive guard D'Tavieus Taylor (knee), defensive end Jimmie Gipson (knee), defensive end Chris Henderson (knee) and cornerback Bobby Flott (knee).
