MOBILE, Ala. – The Mobile Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors have unanimously passed a resolution in support of the University of South Alabama's efforts to build an on-campus football facility.
The announcement came just days after University representatives — including President Dr. Tony Waldrop and Director of Athletics Dr. Joel Erdmann — spoke on behalf of the project to members of the Mobile City Council and Mobile County Commission in an effort to secure funding assistance for the facility.
Both the council and the commission are expected to vote in the coming weeks.
