NEW ORLEANS – University of South Alabama men's basketball junior Trhae Mitchell was voted the Sun Belt Conference co-Men's Basketball Player of the Week Monday.
In two games, Mitchell averaged 27.0 points and 9.5 rebounds in South Alabama's 1-1 week, which included the team's first road win of the season.
Mitchell picks up the weekly award for the first time in his career and is also the first Jaguar to be voted player of the week this season. Louisiana's JaKeenan Gant was also named player of the week.
