MEN'S TENNIS CONTINUES DOMINANCE AT SAMFORD INVITATIONAL

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The South Alabama men's tennis team lost just two of nine matchups on day two at the Samford Invitational on Saturday.

SINGLES
-Clement Marzol defeated Alabama's Alexey Nesterov 6-3, 7-5, while Loic Cloes dominated Giovanni Pasini of UAB 6-1, 6-1.
-UAB's Brian Akhtar defeated Nathan Fruh 7-5, 6-2.
-Lucas Gonzalez defeated Tom el Safadi of UAB in a tightly contested three-set battle 6-3, 4-6, 6-1.
-Olivier Gingras took down Grant Stuckey of Alabama 6-1, 6-3.
-Santiago Di Loreto defeated UAB's Marlon Goering 6-4, 6-3.

DOUBLES
-Cloes and Marzol defeated Samford's Jake Faudez and Eduardo Lourido of Alabama 7-5.
