MEN’S TENNIS ADVANCES IN THOMASVILLE INVITATIONAL SINGLES, DROPS DOUBLES MATCHES

THOMASVILLE, Ga. – The University of South Alabama men's tennis team had two players reach the final of the respective draws on day one of the Thomasville Invitational at the Glen Arven Country Club.

Senior Pierre Noyon (Oye-Plage, France) reached the A draw finals after picking up a pair of wins. He took his first singles match in straight sets over Valdosta State's Fernando Rivas 6-1, 6-1 before outlasting Pedro Dumont of West Florida 3-6, 6-4, 2-1 (ret.).

Lucas Gonzalez advanced to the B draw finals, coming back against Xavier Pineda after losing the first set to win 3-6, 6-2, (10-6), then downed Lucas Sanchez of UWF 6-2, 6-0.
