NEW ORLEANS -- Shawn Long hit 5 of 6 from long distance and finished with a career-high 34 points to lead Louisiana Lafayette to a 90-68 win over South Alabama in the quarterfinals of the Sun Belt Conference tournament on Friday.
Johnathan Stove had 14 points, Bryce Washington 12 and Devonta Walker 11 for the fourth-seeded Ragin' Cajuns (17-13), who meet top-seeded Arkansas-Little Rock in the semifinals on Saturday.
Stove and Hayward Register hit 3-pointers before Long had back-to-back baskets to close a 12-0 run that put Louisiana Lafayette up 24-12 midway through the first half.
