Lewis Records Double-Double, South Alabama Women's Basketball Falls To Louisiana On Senior Day

Louisiana-Lafayette pulled away from South Alabama in the second half on Saturday, claiming an 88-71 victory at the Mitchell Center.

The Jaguars led late in the first half and were tied at the 12-minute mark of the game, but the high-powered Ragin' Cajuns poured it on from there. UL (25-4, 15-1 Sun Belt Conference) outscored the Jaguars 32-15 over the game's final 11:49.

"I was really proud of our effort -- we played hard and with great energy," South Alabama coach Matthew Graves said. "... We had a run to get the score tied, and then they went on a 17-0 run.
