LACKIE EARNS BOTH NATIONAL AND LEAGUE PITCHING ACCOLADES

MOBILE, Ala. – After tossing a complete-game shutout and guiding for the University of South Alabama softball team to the program's first-ever, win over No. 2 Alabama on Sunday, Jaguar pitcher Olivia Lackie was named on Tuesday as both the Wilson/NFCA and Sun Belt Conference Pitcher of the Week on Tuesday.

Her selection as the national Pitcher of the Week by Wilson/NFCA marks just the second time a South Alabama player has received a national weekly honor. Former Jag Devin Brown as named the Louisville Slugger/NFCA Co-Pitcher of the Week on March 22, 2016.

The league honor is the second of the season for Lackie, while it also marks the 44th time in program history that South has had a player earn a weekly honor from the Sun Belt.
