MOBILE, Ala. | South Alabama junior Sam Knowlton is one of eight players from the Sun Belt Conference taking part in the MLB Combine this week in Phoenix.
Knowlton, who split time as a starter and reliever this season, has a fastball between 97-99 and has topped at 101 this year on multiple occasions. He finished the season with a 6.65 earned run average in 15 appearances including five starts. He finished with a 1.91 WHIP and was 2-3 with 23 strikeouts in 23.0 innings. He allowed 19 runs, 17 of which were earned in 2023.
