AUBURN, Ala. | The South Alabama softball opened up competition at the Jane B. Moore Memorial held at Jane B. Moore Field with a split on Friday.
South Alabama (10-7) picked up a 9-0, run-rule victory over Tennessee Tech (1-11) in game one of the day, and then dropped a 3-0 decision to host Auburn (18-1) in game two.
Sasha Willems recorded three extra-base hits – a double, a triple and a home run – in the two games.
