Jaguars Dominate Second Half; Beat Kennesaw State

MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama Women's Basketball defeated Kennesaw State 66-54 on Tuesday night at the Mitchell Center, winning the first-ever matchup between the two programs.

KEY MOMENTS:

  • Kennesaw State opened up the first quarter with a 4-0, but it was quickly ended by Amyah Sutton, who put a ball in the net from downtown. However, seven Jaguar turnovers would stall offensive progress, ending the quarter 13-16.
  • Daniela Gonzalez led South Alabama in a comeback effort, going 2-2 from beyond the arc. The Jags finished the first half being tied at 28 with the Owls.
