Jaguars compete in first outdoor event of the season

MOBILE, Ala. – South Alabama track & field had their first outdoor event of the season, hosting the Jaguar Throws/Pole Vault Opener at Jaguar Track on Thursday and Friday.

The men's side finished with 96 points, and the women compiled 107 points in the meet that featured athletes from South Alabama and the University of Mobile.

Brylan Shirley won the men's pole vault, clearing 4.27 meters on his third attempt. Ina Edstrom took top-spot on the women's side, reaching a height of 3.52 meters. Savannah Morgan and Alexis Gratia followed behind her, recording 3.
