JAGUAR WOMEN'S BASKETBALL DEFEATS SPRING HILL IN EXHIBITION

MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama women's basketball team earned a 85-49 victory over Spring Hill in its lone exhibition game on Monday at the Mitchell Center.

In Zena Elias' first contest for the Jaguars she led the team with 17 points, a career-high figure, by going 6-for-6 from the field and 4-for-4 in free throws. Jaylin Powell accounted for 15 points and three of the Jags' five three-pointers.

GAME FACTS
- Powell hit back-to-back threes around the six-minute mark of the first quarter for a 12-7 lead.
- The Jags went on a 9-0 run to finish the first period ahead 21-9.
