MOBILE, Ala. – The University of South Alabama outdoor track & field teams will compete in Samford's Alabama Track Challenge Friday at the Samford Track Complex in Birmingham, Alabama. Competition begins at noon Friday with the hammer and javelin events. Running events will begin at 3:30 p.m. with the 3,000m Steeplechase.
USA senior Rafael Scott and junior Olivia Swan led the team at the Jaguar Classic last weekend. Scott ran the men's 100m dash in 10.32 seconds, placing first in the event and breaking the previous school record set in 2000. He was also part of the men's 4 x 100m relay team which posted a school-record-breaking 40.
