JAGUAR TRACK AND FIELD FRESHMEN QUALIFY FOR WORLD JUNIOR CHAMPIONSHIPS

MOBILE, Ala. – University of South Alabama track and field freshmen Kyle Rademeyer and Bodine Degli-Umberti have qualified for the World Athletics U20 Championships in Kenya.

Rademeyer, the Paarl, South Africa, native earned the title of 2021 Sun Belt Conference Men's Indoor Newcomer of the Year after his 5.36m pole vault won him his first conference indoor title back in February. He also made it all the way to the NCAA Outdoor Championships in June, and claimed Second-Team All-America honors. Rademeyer currently holds the indoor pole vault record (5.53m/18-01.75) for South Alabama and the Sun Belt Conference, and is second in the Jaguar record books for the outdoor pole vault competition with a mark of 5.
