JAGUAR SOFTBALL HAS EIGHT NAMED TO NFCA ALL-AMERICA SCHOLAR LIST

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Once again the University of South Alabama softball program continued to excel not only on the field, but in the classroom as eight current and former student-athletes were named All-America Scholar Athletes by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), during the 2015-16 season as announced by the organization earlier this fall.

The individual award is given to student-athletes that acquire a 3.5 grade-point average or higher during said academic year. Winners from this past season include Alex Breeden, Devin Brown, Kristina Foster, Dayla Gulledge, Savanna Mayo, Emily Messer, Amanda Minahan and Kaliegh Todd.

The selection marked the fourth-straight year for Breeden, the third for Messer, the second for Brown, Foster and Todd and the first for Minahan, Gulledge and Mayo.
