JAGUAR SOFTBALL HAS 12 NAMED TO NFCA ALL-AMERICA SCHOLAR LIST

LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of South Alabama softball program continued to excel in the classroom as 12 student-athletes from last season's roster were named All-America Scholar Athletes by the Easton/National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA), during the 2017-18 season as announced by the organization on Wednesday.

The individual award is given to student-athletes that acquire a 3.5 grade-point average or higher during said academic year. Winners from this past season include Carmen Byrd, Jordyn Calderon, Kristian Foster, Katelyn Gruich, Dayla Gulledge, Megan Harris, Abby Krzywiecki, Kamdyn Kvistad, Bailey Murphy, MC Nichols, Taylor Stevens and Kaleigh Todd.

The selection marked the fourth-straight Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete honor for Foster and the second for Todd, Stevens, Murphy and Krzywiecki, while it was the first for Byrd, Calderon, Gruich, Gulledge, Harris, Kvistad and Nichols.
