TALAHASSEE, Fla. – The University of South Alabama women's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season as the Jags fell, 4-0 at No.1 Florida State at the Seminole Soccer Complex on Thursday.
Kailey Littleford attacked early in the first half to try to give the Jags an early lead, the drive was stopped by the FSU back line. Florida State opened up scoring with the only goal allowed by South in the first half from Jenna Nighswonger in the 32nd minute.
Goalkeeper Allison Luckhardt and the South Alabama defense were able to keep the ball out of the net until Gabby Carle found Beata Olsson in the 52nd minute to increase FSU's lead.
