JAGUAR MEN’S BASKETBALL FALLS IN OVERTIME AT UTA IN SUN BELT OPENER

ARLINGTON, Texas – Charles Manning Jr. scored a career-high 26 points and Javon Franklin posted 21 points and a career-best 15 rebounds, but the University of South Alabama men's basketball team fell to UTA 89-87 in overtime on Thursday night at the College Park Center.

Manning Jr. missed a three-pointer as time expired in overtime as UTA held on for the win.

Jay Jay Chandler and Kayo Goncalves both finished with 12 points for the Jags.

UTA's David Azore led all scorers with 30 points, while Patrick Mwamba added 16 and Shemar Wilson chipped in 14 for the Mavericks.
