BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The University of South Alabama men's golf team will open play in the first of three straight in-state tournaments this fall when action gets underway Monday at the Shoal Creek Invitational hosted by Alabama-Birmingham.
The event will include 36 holes on the first day with an 8:30 a.m. (CDT) start and conclude with Tuesday's final round, which is set to tee off on the first and 10th holes at 7:30 a.m.
Senior Sylas Elliott, coming off a top-15 finish at Southern Mississippi's Sam Hall Intercollegiate two weeks ago, leads a lineup that also will include Rasmus Karlsson, Jason Mendel, Brooks Rabren and Stephen Wall, with Peter Staalbo competing as an individual.
