After a pair of road games in non-conference action, South Alabama returns home in week four to face Louisiana Tech on September 24. Here is an in-depth preview of the Bulldogs prior to camp opening in early August.
Louisiana Tech will be under first-year head coach Sonny Cumbie after the team finished 3-9 a season ago, taking over after leading Texas Tech to bowl eligibility as the interim head coach down the stretch in 2021. He will look to lead the Bulldogs to their first conference championship since 2011, and just their third in school history.
The Bulldogs are looking for their next quarterback and have a couple of different options including Parker McNeil who has stops at Troy and Texas Tech – under Cumbie.
