MOBILE, Ala. – Matt Linehan threw for 273 yards and the game-tying touchdown in the waning seconds of regulation, and Isaiah Saunders scored from two yards in the second overtime to lift Idaho to a 29-23 Sun Belt Conference football win over the University of South Alabama Saturday at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
With the game tied 13-13 midway through the fourth quarter there was a two-hour and 27-minute delay due to lightning, after which Xavier Johnson gave the Jaguars (1-3, 0-1 Sun Belt) a seven-point lead with just over five minutes to go with a 34-yard touchdown run up the middle.
