MOBILE, Ala. – Caleb Balgaard delivered a leadoff walk-off solo home run over the left center field wall in the bottom of the 10th inning to lift the University of South Alabama baseball team to a 5-4 series-opening win over Middle Tennessee Friday at Stanky Field.
The Jags held a 4-0 lead through five innings before Middle Tennessee (5-3) scored four runs in the top of the sixth to tie the game 4-4 before Balgaard's game-winning home run in the 10th inning.
